You've heard of hybrid cars, but how about hybrid ranges? The Samsung Hybrid Induction Range has a smooth-glass cooktop with three conventional radiant elements and one induction element.
Induction cooking is more responsive (like gas), but (unlike gas) it heats up the cookware, not the kitchen. It's also more energy efficient than traditional electric elements.
The 5.9 cubic foot oven does a fine job of cleaning up after itself, too. In case of spills, push a button and use the steam-cleaning feature, with a promised cleaning time of 20 minutes.
Other features include a three-fan convection oven, warming drawer, child-safety lock, and oversized display screen.
