Kentucky Bourbon barrels come back in a second life as rainwater collectors. The white oak barrels are the real deal, originally used to age bourbon.
Shipped directly from the distillery, the barrels are outfitted with a downspout adapter, brass spigot and overflow pipe.
Recycled barrels may retain an aroma from their previous lives. If you prefer “aroma free,” you can purchase a new barrel.
Wooden barrels require occasional maintenance. If the barrel dries out, it may spring a leak. The solution is simple, however. Simply soak the barrel again and the wood will swell, closing any gaps.
