Heating efficiency and coal furnaces may not seem like they fit together, but the Norseman Add-On Furnace can help reduce your home-heating expense. And if that new-fangled electricity goes on the fritz, this furnace will continue to provide heat to your home.

Fire up the 115,000 BTU dual fuel furnace by feeding it 100 pounds of bitumimnous coal or 24" hardwood logs. An adjustable spin draft controls the burn speed (up to eight hours for one load).

Air is supplied by two blower motors (550 cfm) and flows out through two 8" heat ducts, designed to be easily connected to your existing central heat system.

The manufacturer promises that this unit can provide heat for up to 2,500 square feet.

When it's time to set the furnace into place, you might want to invite a few friends over. This cast-iron unit weighs 535 pounds.
