These hinges mount flat, with both sides of the hinge, including the decorative screws, fully visible when you're done. This means you should pay attention to which side of the door they mount on (the inswing side) and that you should apply finishes to your doors and their surrounding frames before you hang them with these hinges. Note too that these hinges are sold in pairs only. So if you want to use a trio of hinges per door, as I have, you'll want to buy three packages for each two doors.
