If you rent rather than own, you can temporarily install the lightweight tiles with removable double stick tape. PaperForms can also be affixed permanently with wallpaper paste.
As with all the products from this company, PaperForms are environmentally friendly and produced from recycled paper. The 12-inch blocks come in packs of 12 for $32. Designs project 2-1/4" from the paper.
Tiles fit into each other to minimize packing and transport size.
The tiles come in four patterns, including an acoustic weave designed to deaden sound.
Although the website offers a pull- down menu for color choice, the blocks are available only in an off-white. They can be colored with water based paints, or even felt markers, once installed. Apply paint thinly and allow it to dry thoroughly between coats or the tiles may warp.
The company's website has an interactive tool designed to help you visualize pattern arrangements. I found the utility a little clumsy to use, but it sill gives an idea of the patterns that can be formed by moving and rotating squares.
