Learn more about The Modern Fan Company:
by Deborah Holmes, Ebricks.com
This sleek fan is like a breath of fresh air in the crowded field of wood-grained- and rattan-bladed fans. Spaniard Jorge Pensi used his industrial design background to create the contemporary fan for homes.

An assemblage of cylinders and contoured blades, the die-cast and extruded aluminum fan is efficient as well as beautiful. Manufacturer Modern Fan Company claims that its blades spin more efficiently than those of other fans. The design is sleek: the cylinder that houses the motor, blade rotor and an optional downlight attaches directly to the ceiling. Pensi calls his fan, "a non-disturbing presence."

The fan is available in two finishes: brushed aluminum or all-white powder coating.

And when the time comes to part ways, the fan is 100 percent recyclable.
