In the Attic
With fuel prices going through roof, you don't want your heat going there too. These kits help help precious heat from escaping through attic egresses.

Kits are made of rigid foam panels that fit into a foam frame to form an air-tight seal.

Shown here is the kit for attic space accessed by a pull-down ladder. Kits for push-up hatches, stairway and knee-wall entrances are also available.

When you want to get into the attic, the light-weight panels can be easily lifted. The heaviest kit component weighs just 10 pounds.

Ceiling kits have an R-39 insulating value, while side panels are R-24. R-value is a measurement of resistance to air-flow; the higher the R-value, the greater the insulation.

The kit is backed by a 20-year warranty. The company's website has detailed measuring and ordering instructions.
