Learn more about Kitchen Door Depot:
by Deborah Holmes, Ebricks.com
If you're handy with some basic tools, you can give your tired kitchen a facelift at a fraction of the price of new cabinets.

This Shaker door is one of a variety of styles offered by Kitchen Door Depot. Drawer fronts, hardware and veneers are also available. Detailed measuring and ordering information is on the company's website.

Wood doors are sanded to a 180 grit and shipped unfinished, although the company will apply a lacquer for $9 a square foot. If you want the doors stained, you're on your own. For an extra $2.50 per door, you can get holes for concealed hinges drilled.

Doors are available in red oak, maple, cherry or paint grade maple and in frameless or framed styles. Lead time is about 5 weeks. Shipping is free on orders over $500, $20 on lesser orders.
