By tweaking insulation and interior configuration, Samsung squeezed 29 cubic feet of storage space into its French door refrigerator without making it larger on the outside.
As you'd expect in a premium kitchen appliance, this one is packed with features. There's the customary in-door dispenser of ice, crushed ice and filtered water, adjustable glass shelves, deli drawers and doors that hold gallon containers.
A wine rack and egg container are nice features, as is a sliding shelf that will accommodate a large party platter. Sliding shelves in the freezer help smartly store pizza boxes. Other shelves prevent small items from plunging into the depths of the freezer.
The 8.8 cubic foot freezer is controlled by a separate cooling fan from the refrigerator. That means odors from the refrigerator won't make it into the freezer. It also allows for more precise temperature control in the fresh food compartment. An LED display on the door gives readouts of temperature settings.
