What happens when you combine vinyl with stone dust? In the case of Crane, you get BellaStone, a synthetic product with the look and feel of stone.
Polypropylene, the stuff vinyl siding is made of, is mixed with stone aggregate and molded around a high density foam filling to make the columns. The product requires no maintenance and won't weather or fade. A sealant and bag of aggregate are included with the columns, although sealing is for cosmetic reasons only.
The columns and caps are available in grayish or brownish tones. Suggested uses are as accents, landscaping, fencing and porch railings.
The lightweight columns are not structural, but can be dropped over structural wood or galvanized posts. Openings for 6" x 6" or 4" x 4" wood posts or 2" or 1-5/8" galvanized posts are pre-scored into the columns. The columns can be screwed into the structural posts.
