Large stockpots that need to simmer for hours pose a problem for many kitchen ventilation systems. They're too tall to sit on the back burner, where the range hood is most effective. And on the front burner much of the steam escapes into the room.
Thermador's new chimney-style Drawer Hood comes to the rescue, with a square canopy that slides out for an extra 12" of ventilation.
Fully extended, the wall-mount hood almost doubles the filter area with a powerful 600 cubic feet per minutes of air evacuation. Or choose three lower power levels.
If you're only using the back burners, slide the hood back in where ventilation is needed. A hood-mounted touch panel controls the action. An indicator light will remind you when the mesh filter needs to be cleaned. Simply pop it into your dishwasher.
The hood is available in 36" stainless steel only and is intended for installation with non-professional cooktops.
